Croatia and the Maldives included in Australian Electronic Visa Program

The Australian Government has recently announced that Croatia and the Maldives are now included in the electronic tourist visa program from July 1, 2011.

According to the announcement of Department of Immigration and Citizenship, as of the expansion of the electronic tourist visa program, nationals from Croatia and the Maldives are now able to apply electronically for the e676 online tourist visa under the visa application process that is fast, secure and convenient.

There are 52 countries all over the world that are currently eligible for this Australian electronic tourist visa program. The addition of the two 2 countries makes the total number up to 54.

The Australian electronic tourist visa program allows applicants from eligible countries to apply online and to check the application process electronically. There is no visa stamp or label in applicants' passports.

An electronic tourist visa is valid for up-to one year. Successful applicants are permitted to travel to Australia and stay for up to three months per visit.

After being granted, successful applicants will be provided details of the visa through a notification, and the Advanced Passenger Processing System will help airlines confirm the visa entitlements. These applicants can also print a copy of their visa approval notification email to keep with them on their trip to Australia.
