Android Development With HTML5 And AdAPPt Compiler

TextMarkup Language (TML)

Before hyper text markup language (html) existed, TML (text marked language) was used by newspaper and magazine editors. Stories were given to them and markup notes would be added, so the type setters knew which words would be in bold or italics, before being sent to the printing presses. The editor would put < bold > before a word to be printed in bold and then put < /b > or < /bold > after it. A < p > would be placed at the end of a line or paragraph, other 'markups' would also be used, e.g. < Title >iPhone Development with HTML5< /Title > < p >
Dot Matrix and similar computer printers used the same 'markup language; they could print in bold, italics and various typefaces if they received the correct commands (the markup language).
If pictures and words could be transmitted along a cable and become a printed magazine page, then if these words and pictures could be sent over the internet as 'Hyper Text Markup Language' it would reproduce a page from one computer monitor to another.
HTML was the language used to specify if words should be in bold or italics etc. The markuplanguage was called HyperTextMarkupLanguage (HTML) because it travelled through 'hyper space', (also called the internet ether, which is why terms like Ethernet were also used).

HyperTextTransferProtocol (HTTP)
The first home computers (some were home made) were all stand alone. They could not easily 'talk' to each other, therefore there was no need for a protocol.

What is a Protocol
If you would like to talk to someone, then you might ask a mutual friend to introduce you. This is typically involves a hand shake; if this protocol is not followed (i.e. you barge in while they are having a conversation with someone else), it is possible they might not talk/communicate with you.

By the end of 1990, Berners-Lee had all the necessary components to transmit 'screens' of information from one computer monitor to another. The main components were/are HTML, HTTP and a browser (these allow the display to look the same even though they were on different computers and monitors. It was called the World Wide Web (www.) and the pages were called 'web pages'.

How HTML Evolved Into HTML5
Early web pages were no more than pages of information, similar to pages of a book. Users wanted them to be more interactive (e.g. buttons were added, and then graphics), it was necessary for newer versions of HTML to be introduced. The newest release is HTML5, which is designed for today desktop and portable computer browsers and so is ideal for today's mobile devices. A few companies at the cutting edge of writing apps for the Blackberry iPhone, iPad, windows mobile and involved with android development are using the universality of HTML5 to reduce development time, increase efficiency and reduce development cost.
If an app is required for an iPhone, Android, or BlackBerry mobile device, then using a compiler from adappt.co.uk and html5, the app will work on the primary mobile internet device, typically the android, and can also be cross compiled for the iPhone, BlackBerry or any other mobile device.
