Friends are extended family members- make them feel special

Friends are our extended families God forgot to give us. They are not related to you by blood and yet care for you like a sister, protect you like a brother, guides you like a father and sticks with you through thick and thin like a mother. True friends are extremely precious, not easily found and hence should be valued when found. Although friendship is above such petty things like gratitude or apology but you should anyways let your friends know how much you love them and how thankful you are to have them in your life.

It is not difficult to buy gift for friends as friends are quite like your mirror images and hence you would know exactly to get them for each occasion. Different occasion demands different gifts for everyone and that includes your friends too. Birthday gifts should be different than engagement gifts and friendship day gift ideally should be different than wedding day gift. And hence for buying more personal gifts, the gender and personality of the receiver matters as much as the occasion.

If the person concerned is very close to you, you can always opt for clothes like a shirt or a t-shirt. This above mentioned idea as birthday gift for boys who are pretty close friends to you but for male friends who are not that close, it is suggested that you avoid the gift of clothes and instead go for something less personal and more general.

Choose one based on the person you are giving to, your as well as their taste and your budget.

It is suggested that you add a hand written card with whatever you choose to give, to whichever friend you give and whatever the occasion. It will be like the icing on the cake and would help the person to remember that you thought of them, at least on that particular moment.
