Most successful UK Apprentice winner

Over the many series of The Apprentice, there could be a few candidates that enter the list as possible top choice of the best ever. It is too soon after the most recent series to include any of the candidates there so the choice is limited to the candidates from the previous five series.

To many, Ruth Badger surfaces as the best candidate that the show has ever discovered. The sparky management executive from Wolverhampton stole the show in series two (2006) but sadly did not win the top prize that year - she was pipped by the less charismatic Michelle against all the odds! She starred in week six when she almost single handedly sold the majority of the second hand cars in that challenge and then went on in week nine to successfully let flats. Here abrupt style meant that she was summoned into the boardroom on four occasions but survived until the final week.

After The Apprentice Badger starred in a Sky1 production called 'Badger or Bust'. In this series, which ran through the summer of 2007, she used her sales skills to try and rescue failing small businesses.

But Badger went on to a successful career after The Apprentice by starting her own business as a motivational speaker and consultant. Her no nonsense approach to business has won her many plaudits. Although she runs a business consultancy operation it is her public and after dinner speaking appearances for a number of large multinational clients that have provided her with more lucrative earnings.

In addition to her public speaking and business advisory work she has started a training academy designed to meet the need for real practical training delivered by experienced professionals.

Of all the candidates she has probably developed the most comprehensive business proposition since appearing on the show. With her never ending energy and outspoken directness, she remains much in demand by businesses all over the UK. Her celebrity status gained her invitations to appear on a number of other TV shows including Big Brothers Little Brother, 8 out of 10 Cats and Bargain Hunt Famous Finds.
