How To Get Your Boyfriend Back In Your Arms Again

After a big fight that has led to a breakup, some girls realize they truly, madly and deeply love their former flames. If you happen to be in the same situation, here are some ways to get your boyfriend back after a spat. The first rule is to be cool about it. The adage, absence makes the heart grow fonder is true to a large extent, so spend some time apart (though not too long that he ends up getting attracted to another girl). Even if you belong to the same circle of friends, take no notice of the ex-boyfriend. Find things to focus on, like starting a new hobby, joining a club, or working out at the gym. That way you lessen the urge to contact him, and doing something that will enhance your physical and/or mental state. Acknowledging that the breakup's your fault may be fine, but pleading him to come back is a no-no. Most males don't like girls being the one to suggest having a relationship; they want to have the thrill of the chase, so give that to him. Let him have some space and don't let him see the devastating effects the breakup had on you.

If you and the ex-boyfriend do bump into each other, let him start the conversation and keep your responses short. Stay presentable and let him miss the little acts of love you once gave him (like a back rub, thoughtful text messages on how his day went, or preparing home-cooked meals for him). Throughout the cooling-off period, though, be yourself. Flash the same sweet smile, but stay in control of emotions. In a subtle way (probably like posting meaningful quotes on Facebook that you're sure he'll see), let him see that while there are rough spots couples go through in a relationship, the important thing is that a girl (or the guy) must not be taken for granted.

If you are to blame for the breakup, concentrate on damage control. Improve yourself and learn to be more independent, so that next time your paths meet again (with common friends' help or through circumstances), he'll find the change refreshing and the thought of getting back together again may cross his mind. If he voices his opinion in those few times you find yourself together, don't butt in and argue. Listen and learn the art of agreeing to disagree. If you can't make your time together more fun, then getting back together is probably not a good idea. If, during the time apart, your ex-boyfriend has found solace in another girl and has started a relationship with her, don't fret. Cultivate friendships with other guys as well, and stop sulking. Look happy and confident, develop your own hobbies and skills, and make a firm resolve to stop the behavior or attitudes that drove him away. If things don't work out between your ex-boyfriend and the other girl, lend a shoulder and ear so he can unburden himself and be a good friend. Sooner or later, he may start questioning his decision on why he had to break up with you and start seeing you in a new, romantic light again.
