ID Labels Are Perfect For Kids Toys
How many times have we heard "Mommy! Billy's got my yo-yo!" resounding through the house, usually loud enough for everyone in the neighborhood to hear? More times than I can count, I know that for sure. And, of course, when you confront the child who has whichever toy that is in question, it usually winds up as "It doesn't have their name on it!" or something similar. And without some kind of identifying mark on said toy, unless they're different colors, it can be almost impossible to tell them apart.
Putting ID labels on the kids' toys not only prevents Billy from taking off with Sissy's yo-yo, it enables you to settle an argument in a matter of seconds. Not only that, but when it comes time to put all the toys away, instead of mass confusion ensuing about who belongs to which baseball or bat or Frisbee, it only comes down to whether or not the toys actually make it back into the toy box.
Labels have become the easiest way to help organize not only toys, but kids' books and magazines, and even clothing. The clothing labels can really be a life saver when it comes to making sure your kids actually bring home what they took to school or to a neighbor's house. Imagine Junior's disappointment when he loses his baseball mitt at the park, and his happiness when it is discovered and returned to him, all because you've taken the time to put a label in it.
And when it comes to making sure the kids do take care of their stuff, having labels on the toys gives them an added incentive to pay attention to the care they take of these items. Assigning blame for who belongs to that stray yo-yo or Frisbee in the yard or under the car becomes a snap when it has their name on it. That gives parents a tool to teach responsibility to the kids, because having to own that responsibility is right there on the label.
Putting labels on the kids toys and games, especially video games which can wind up at friends houses, at church or even across town gives parents a way to not only make sure kids keep track of their stuff, but a way to get stuff back if it becomes missing. And with today's technology and getting pre-printed labels, hooking them up is a breeze! Why not add that extra level of organization to your household today?
