The way to avoid this is by checking the moisture point of the wood. True teak will have a moisture level of 8-12%. The wood should also be certifiable as being grown on plantations where the Indonesian government limits the number of trees used each year.
• Wicker and all weather wicker or woven patio furniture is always popular. It is affordable and comes in a wide range of styles. Wicker, which is made of natural fibers, is subject to breaking down over time if left out in the weather. If your furniture will be subject to much outdoor use and weather, choose ones covered with baked on polyester, or made from other materials but has a natural fiber look.
