Your boiler may also be overheating frequently, or refilling for no discernable reason, and you may observe stains or smoke marks on the appliance or on adjacent walls. All of these signs should be taken as evidence that your boiler probably needs servicing as soon as possible.

Some people tend to ignore gas boiler repair if problems arise during the summer months, instead preferring to tackle the problem later in the year when their boiler will be needed. However, the summer can actually be the best time to get your boiler repairs taken care of, and to arrange your annual servicing, as repair costs will usually be lower and you won't usually have to wait in line with all the other people who delayed their boiler repairs until it was too late.

Boiler servicing doesn't have to be expensive, especially if it the cost is included in your annual tariff, and will give your gas boiler and controls a thorough looking over, cleaning and repair where needed. Registered technicians will clean all components such as the burners, lubricate the controls and reset the burner operating pressure to ensure your boiler is in peak operational condition for as long as possible.
