If left untreated, gingivitis can lead to periodontitis. This is caused by plaque that develops and spread within the gums. The plaque does not only attack the teeth but the bones that hold your teeth together.

A Las Vegas family dentist is the standard dentist who practically focuses on prevention. They are capable of diagnosing oral diseases and refer you to the proper dentist. They are able to do procedures like installing crowns or caps, or circular metal restraints that hold the teeth in place to prevent it from breaking or chipping off.

There is also Las Vegas dentists who focus on what your teeth look like, adding a sense of aesthetics to those pearly whites. They do procedures like teeth whitening and cleaning. They are also able to do more difficult procedures like dental implants.

While all specializations are equally important, knowing the specific dentist you need saves you time and gets rid of your toothache much quicker. After visiting all the dentists needed to give you that perfect smile, make sure you do them a favor and flash those healthy teeth as often as possible.
