Education, Training and Salary
Cosmetology educational paths range from short vocational programs to more intensive programs at four-year colleges. Salaries for cosmetologists range dramatically, with income earners at the low end bringing in around $14,000 per year and higher income earners making as much as $51,000 per year. Cosmetology often offers the freedom to make your own hours, however, so many part-time workers are included in these salary estimates.
