Distance learning breaking the barrier of time and distance in education

Education is the right of every human being. There are different modes of gaining education whether by physically being in a classroom or sitting in front of your computer accessing the internet world. It has been seen that there are many people who do not have the opportunity to gain education as they lack the proper resource and improper location. It is not possible for every individual to go to schools and educate themselves. Thus the theory of distance learning came into picture. Distance learning is for those people who do not have the opportunity to go to schools or universities. Either they do not have the capital for maintaining the expenses or they live in such distant places where schools or learning centers are not present. The initiative of distance learning became popular as it helped to increase the literacy rate in places.

There are different modes of distance learning available. People can opt for any types they want. Either they can go for distance learning through web conferencing, live broadcasting or they can simply go for recordings and printed study materials. In the first type there are televisions or visual mediums which instruct the students about what to learn and how to implement those. They can see the direct video from a teacher or a well-known instructor about the subject. This type of online study is more interactive and easy to learn as human beings react to video streaming more than audio.

The student can note the teachings done on the day and study them when they reach back home. In this way they learn faster and become more efficient in life. In many cases nowadays there is satellite based information systems which can provide direct and non-stop live streaming which creates a virtual classroom. There are proper timings for each session and people who are interested join the sessions at appropriate times. In case of the latter mode of online study there are no proper timings as the audio recordings and the printed materials are sent through fax or courier. A date is given to the students when they would reply back to the questions.

A session is also arranged for them for any queries related to the study materials. Nowadays more and more people are leaning towards distance education. They are doing their higher master’s degree adopting to distance learning courses. Distance learning is not only expanding the education system but also making the population more literate. Online study through different mediums are gaining popularity and making its stand in the education sector.
