Centennial College offers Full time Financial Services Program

Admission Requirements

Centennial College expects students applying for admission to certificate or diploma programs to present at minimum an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or be 19 years of age or older. Possession of minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission to the program.

Academic Requirements

Compulsory English 12C or U or skills assessment, or equivalent Math 11C, M or U, or 12C or U or skills assessment, or equivalent

Co-op Requirements

To qualify for co-op work placement, you will need to complete employment pre-placement. The requirements are:

Completion of eight out of 10 courses in semesters 1 and 2 A minimum C grade in COMM-170/ 171 A GPA of 2.5 or greater

Graduation Requirements

A minimum overall C grade average is required for graduation.

Notes

Students will be placed in the appropriate English level based on skills assessment results Students with an assessment score of 170/171 will take COMM-170/171 in the first semester

The qualification requirements and costs for each external accreditation, designation, certification or recognition are set by the granting body and not by Centennial College. In order to qualify for any of those external accreditations, designations, certification or recognition, students and graduates will need to follow the processes and meet the applicable requirements listed on the websites and materials of those external bodies.

Jason tells us that financial training emphasizes on graduates to present employers with meaningful industry credentials and make it standardized. The program deals with eligibility of finances and security and insurance licensing planning along with that it also deals with general business knowledge, selling skills, technical skills, high-level communications and analytical skills.
