You will also need - although it doesn't come as standard with most plumbing training - support after the course has finished. Remember that you will almost undoubtedly have concerns about the business after you finish. Even the giants of business started somewhere, and you can be sure that they had support on their way up.

Don't forget about the person teaching your plumbing training as well. Are they the kind of person you can easily learn from? Remember, to give comprehensive plumbing training, they will need to be experienced in running a small business as well as the technical points of plumbing. Things like customer care and after-sales support should be covered as well as the legal aspects of becoming self employed.

However you decide to move forward with your plumbing training, make sure that the course you decide on has all the elements that you initially identified as being relevant to you. If you start with that, you're unlikely to go too far wrong.
