Process of Translation

You might have often heard about translation and might be wondering on the meaning of translation. In brief, this is a process of changing a document to another without any change in meaning. The process basically involves two languages: source & target language.

You might be feeling that the process of translation is very simple and indeed can be completed within short time interval. It is actually not true. But, actually, it is mush complicated process and requires multiple stages before final output. The whole process of translation could be generally referred as the translation process.

To start with, the meaning of the test is understood fully before converting to target language. The process involves many steps like checking the grammar, understanding the idioms used in every situation and finding the equivalent in the source language. The culture and custom of people of target language is a major consideration. Also the translator should be well versed in both languages and must have the ability to research the relevant texts. The same process is followed while translating to any languages like in case of German translation.

The real process of translation moves as follows: the project is assigned to someone who is well versed in the target language. Most clients prefer native speakers of the target language. The initial translated document is checked by another person with same sound knowledge on both language. The person is responsible to compare both the texts in order to make certain that the meanings are the same & some editing will be done to accommodate the real space in the target language. Al last the document is passed to the proofreader for final correction. The proof reader is responsible to check the grammar and the layout of the documents and later assuring that the document is free of errors it'll be passed to the client. To comply with Arabian culture and custom, an Arab translator is preferred for Arabic translation.

There are many difficulties and confusion associated with translation process. The basic problem is relating to the poor construction of the language by using poor grammar. Because of this the translator will be finding trouble in understanding the clear meaning and also the accurate usage of the grammar in the original text. Also the meaning of certain words mainly depend on the context where it is used. The translator may not be able to do a right work without clearly understanding the real context and the meaning of the words. Apart from that it is tough to clearly understand the usage of idioms in the context and actual translation to the target language. This mostly refers to French translation as the language is normally spoken in many parts of the world and there are differences in the speaking style of the language.

So, it is clear that the translation dose not only means the change of word from one language to another. You should make a point to first understand the concept clearly that is assigned to you for the work. Instructions should be followed properly and the client should be asked in case of any clarification. This is because you wish to produce the greatest work out of the process and in order to do the task it must be completed after clearing the doubts then & there without postponing.
