It also has an anti-reflective sapphire dial window, fold-over clasp, chrome silver band and dial color, bi-directional bezel with pinion mechanism and a perpetual calendar. The silver dial with luminous hands has stylish Arabic and index hour markers. This watch is also technically sound, as you would expect from a Breitling. The superquartz movement is about as reliable as you can get, considering these luxury watches are designed for professional flyers. Other features: Water resistant at 50 meters/165 feet. But does it stand up against its peers, and is it worth its four-grand-plus price tag? Its silver bezel and black dial/black strap combination aren’t exactly ground breaking. However we do like the red second hand and the left side chronograph hand too. This gives the dials a speedometer-like appearance that may appeal to those of you who like luxury mens sports watches. Unfortunately, at least in our experience, this type of movement is usually found in watches of a lower price bracket, such as Invictas for example. Aside from that, features are as you would expect to find on a watch of this caliber, with nothing new being brought to the table. The Arabic-style numerals add a slight edge to the appearance, as does the central spiral guilloche zone, but there’s nothing there that really blows us away. When all’s said, this is a nice watch. But it’s not like it’s coming from a prestigious manufacturer – David Yurman is no Bulgari or Harry Winston.
